ABOUT MOVMNT

Pop culture is part of our heritage. The challenge is to raise the stakes and add to its legacy instead of recycling it. movmnt aspires to bridge the gap between pop culture and today’s real talent, and recognize artists over fame junkies. We aim to bring fashion, dance, and pop culture together as a lifestyle.

Hey everybody. I haven't been around the last couple of days. I broke my foot last Thursday evening at the Andrea Miller Gallim Dance Workshop. I was doing grand jetes (thank god it wasn't something stupid like a jig or jumping and breaking it off the ceiling hahahaha inside joke sorry!). The class was fantastic and as soon as I can dance again I will be back up and jumping for her. I would love to work for her. I think she has some really great info to share not to mention her work is brilliant.

I ended up going to the ER and having X-rays.....wanna see?

They told me I'm going to have to get surgery to put the bone back together with possibly a plate and a few pins. I obviously freaked out. Anytime a dancer hears that your heart drops. Not gonna lie I cried a little. Thank god my roommate Kate was with me. I don't know what I would've done without her. She has been a life saver in every sense of the word. I owe her my life.

The surgery went really well. My doctor said that it was one of the best surgeries he's ever done. It turns out they only needed one small pin to put the boes back together instead of a plate and what not. He also said that I'll be up and dancing again by Halloween. So for now I'm going to have to bring an assistant with me to my August teaching jobs. I'm gonna focus on my singing too while I'm sidelined for the next couple of months. Send me good, healing thoughts and hopefully It'll be even sooner that that. Wish me luck....CIAO!

Nick Lazzarini at New York City Dance Alliance with Ivan Koumaev, a few days before the surgery, :) i thought this was appropriate next to the X-RAY :-)
I wish you the best of the perfect recovery Nick!
David
